TOUR 1:  EXPLORE THE ROMAN MONUMENTS/ ETERNAL ROME

Piazza dell'Esquilino - Republic Square - via Nazionale - the Arts Museum - Trevi Fountain (visit) - Pantheon (visit), the largest pagan temple built by emperor Adriano - Piazza Navona (visit), the most beautiful baroque square of Rome, with the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers Berninis masterpiece Castel S. Angelo, (ancient Papal Fortress) - The Spanish Steps (visit). The tour will end at approximately noon time. Return to hotel or immediate vicinity.

From 1 Mar to 31 Oct the tour will end at approx. 6.00 pm, from 1 Nov to 28 Feb at approx. 5.30 pm. Return to hotel, or in the immediate vicinity.

TOUR 3: THE VATICAN TOUR
VATICAN MUSEUMS - GALLERIES - THE SISTINE CHAPEL-ST PETER'S BASILICA


DEPARTURES: from hotel approximately 8:00am or Terminal approximately 8.30 am.
OPERATES: Daily except Sundays and Religious holidays.
DURATION: 3 hours

Piazza dell'Esquilino - Republic Square - the Najad Fountain - Baths of Diocleziano - Porta Pinciana - the Aurelian Walls (3rd century A.D.) - Piazzale Flaminio - Porta del Popolo - the Vatican Museums (visit) Spiral Staircase, Pious Clementine Museum, the Candelabra Gallery, the Tapestry Gallery, the Gallery of Maps, the Rooms of Raphael, with the masters magnificent frescoes, the Sistine Chapel adorned with Michelangelo's famous masterpieces - Berninis Royal Staircase. The tour will end at approximately noontime. Return to hotel, or in the immediate vicinity. *During high season there may be queues occasionally at the entrance of the Museum.


TOUR 4: THE CATACOMBS TOUR
THERMES OF CARACALLA - BASILICA OF ST. JOHN IN LATERAN - THE HOLY STAIRS - THE APPIAN WAY - CATACOMBS

Piazza dell'Esquilino - Republic Square - the Najad Fountain - Baths of Diocleziano - Via Nazionale - Thermes of Caracalla (visit) - via Merulana the Holy Stairs (stop) - Basilica of St. John in Lateran (visit) - Appian Way (312 B.C.), the oldest Roman road - the Domine Quo Vadis Chapel Catacombs, ancient Christian Cemetery (visit) - Aventino - Pyramide of Caius Cestius. (From Mar 1 to Oct 31 the tour will end at approx. 6.00 pm. From Nov 1 to 28 Feb at approx. 5.30 pm). Return to hotel, or in the immediate vicinity.



TOUR 5: TIVOLI
VILLA ADRIAN - VILLA DESTE


DEPARTURES: from hotel approximately 8.00 am or Terminal approximately 8.30 am
OPERATES: From 16 March to 15 November Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. From 1 November 07 to 15 March 08 departure on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday  and Sunday mornings
DURATION: 5 hours

Piazza dell'Esquilino - Castro Pretorio - Walls III century - via Tiburtina - The Baths of Tivoli - Lucano Bridge - Hadrians Villa (visit), the most beautiful imperial Villa designed and built by emperor Hadrian at the beginning of the 2nd Century A.D. - Tivoli - Villa d'Este (visit), enchanting Renaissance Villa, housing a multitude of sublime fountains and superbly arranged Italian flowergardens. At the end of the visit return to Rome. Return to hotel, or in the immediate vicinity.



TOUR 6: ROMAN COUNTRYSIDE
LAKES - VINEYARDS - EXTINCT VOLCANOES - SMALL MEDIEVAL HILLSIDE TOWNS SURROUNDING ROME


DEPARTURES: from hotel approximately 2.15 pm or Terminal approximately 3.00 pm
OPERATES: every Tuesday and Saturday afternoon from 1 April to 31 October
DURATION: 3 hours

Piazza dell'Esquilino - Baths of Caracalla - Appian Way (312 B.C.) the oldest Roman Road - Albano, the historial town of Albalonga, a modern village which looks across the ancient volcanic Lake - Castelgandolfo, the summer residence of the Pope - Ariccia, a small village once isolated high in the mountains but now easily reached by a large bridge constructed by Pope Pio IX - Genzano, the birth place of Marco Antonio Colonna, the famous General of the battle of Lepanto in 1571 - Nemi, famous throughout the world for its strawberries - Grottaferrata with its Monastery founded on the ruins of an old roman villa - Frascati famous for the production of white wine. From 400 metres it is possible to enjoy a beautiful view. Here a stop will be made to permit a taste of local wine. Return to Rome at approx. 6.00 pm. Return to hotel, or in the immediate vicinity.



TOUR 7B: THE PAPAL BLESSING
SUMMER - SUNDAY MORNING IN CASTELGANDOLFO


DEPARTURES: from hotel 8.00 am approx., from Terminal 8.30 am approx.
OPERATES: Sunday morning in Summer (July and August)
DURATION: 3 1/2 hours

Piazza dell'Esquilino - Republic Square - The Najad Fountain - via Nazionale - Traianus Markets Military Tower - Piazza Venezia - Colosseum - Caracallas Baths - The Appian Way - The road to the Lakes - The Lake of Albano (stop) - Castelgandolfo (stop-over for the Papal Blessing). After the ceremony return to Rome. Return to hotel or in the immediate vicinity.



TOUR 7: SEE THE VATICAN & PAPAL AUDIENCE

DEPARTURES: from hotel 6.45 am approx., from Terminal 7.30 am approx.
OPERATES: Wednesday morning.
DURATION: 3 hours

Piazza dell'Esquilino - Republic Square - The Najad Fountain - Villa Borghese the Fine Arts Museum - Valle Giulia - Drive alongside the Tiber River - Castel St. Angelo - St. Peters Square (Papal Audience). At the end of the Audience, return to hotel or immediate vicinity. 

Visitors in shorts or sleeveless tops are not admitted to the Audience Hall.


TOUR 10: ROME PANORAMA TOUR

DEPARTURES: from Piazza dell'Esquilino 6/7 at 9.05, 10.05, 11.05, 12.05, 13.05, 14.05, 15.05, 16.05, 17.05, 18.05
OPERATES: Daily
DURATION: 2 hours

The buses drive continuously by the city's most important monuments. Get on and off at the stops* noted below. On board a very informative audioguide will help you understand the incredible history and the splendour of the art that makes Rome a unique city. The tour takes the following route:- Quirinale Square - the Capitol - Church of St. Maria in Aracoeli - Piazza Venezia* - Roman Forum - Colosseum* - Palatine - Jewish Quarter and the Synagogue Tiberian Island* - Castel S. Angelo - Vatican City* with St. Peters Basilica - the Mausoleum of Augustus - Villa Borghese with Bio Parco and Galleria Borghese* - Aurelian Walls - the famous and elegant Via Veneto* - Barberini Square*.


TOUR 12: RENAISSANCE FLORENCE

DEPARTURES: from hotel between 6.30 am and 7.15 am approx. or Terminal approx. 7.30 am.
OPERATES: 16 November to 28 February: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 1 March to 15 November: daily except Monday, Wednesday, Sunday
DURATION: Full day including lunch

Leaving Rome the coach goes North through three of the most beautiful Italian regions: Latium, Umbria and Tuscany. Arrive in Florence at about 11.30 am and go to Piazzale Michelangelo, to admire a fantastic view of the city and of the famous Ponte Vecchio. Continue to the historical centre and free time at leisure. After lunch at a local restaurant, guided visit on foot of Santa Croce Square to the church where Michelangelo and Galileo are buried. Stop at a leather factory and visit the Museum of Accademia, with the famous Statue of David by Michelangelo. The walk continues to Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (visit) the beautiful Dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistry and Giottos Belltower. At 5.00 pm approx. departure to Rome with arrival at about 9.00 pm. Return to hotels or nearest point.


TOUR 11:  A DAY VISITING ASSISI/ORVIETO

DEPARTURES: from hotel between 6.30 am and 7.15 am approx. or Terminal approx. 7.30 am.
OPERATES: 1 April to 31 October every Monday, Thursday and Saturday
DURATION: Full day including lunch

Leaving Rome along the autostrada del Sole as far as Orte, we reach Spoleto (stop). Proceed to Orvieto, famous for its beautiful Cathedral (visit). Continue on to Clitumno springs, Trevi, Foligno, Spello arriving at Assisi. Visit the Church of Santa Chiara where St. Francis was born. Walk through the narrow streets to Piazza del Comune with the Palazza dei Priori, the Palazzo del Popolo and the Temple of Minerva. Continue on to the Basilica of St. Francis with the masterpieces of Giotto and Cimabue. After lunch in a local restaurant, free time. Continue by bus to the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, visiting the Parziuncola Chapel. Return to Rome passing through Deruta, renowned for its artistic ceramics. Arrive in Rome about 7 pm.
