Day 1: Saturday - Catania
Independent arrival at the Hotel. Welcome cocktail followed by dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Sunday - Catania - Siracusa - Ragusa
After breakfast, leave for Siracusa and visit of the Archaeological area including the famous Latomie ofthe Paradise and the Dyionisios Ear. Continue to the island of Ortigia, historical centre of the city. Lunch at leisure (own arrangements). Visit to the Cathedral and Arethuse fountain. Depart for Ragusa and overnight at Hotel Mediterraneo (4 stars). The evening will be dedicated to a fascinating visit to the historical centre of Ibla and dinner in a famous restaurant with a typical Sicilian menu.
Day 3: Monday - Ragusa - Piazza Armerina - Agrigento
After breakfast depart for Caltagirone, the famous centre of the Sicilian ceramic productions. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale with its well preserved mosaics. Lunch in a local restaurant with a special menu chosen to give the opportunity to taste the local specialities. Depart for Agrigento and visit to the Valley of the Temples. Accommodation at hotel and dinner. After dinner an unforgettable tour of the Valley of the Temples by night.
Day 4: Tuesday - Agrigento - Monreale - Palermo
After breakfast depart for Palermo. First stop in Monreale and visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments of the world and visit the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style. Lunch in Monreale at leisure (own arrangements). Continueto visit the historical centre of Palermo, one of the largest in Europe, (including the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, Royal Palace). Dinner and overnight accommodation at hotel.
Day 5: Wednesday - Palermo - Segesta - Erice - Trapani - Palermo
After breakfast depart for Segesta to admire the Temple and the Theatre surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Continue to the Medieval village of Erice situated on top of a hill and walk its tiny, characteristic streets. Lunchat leisure (own arrangements). After lunch on to Trapani viewing the traditional salt wind mills which are still working today. Return to Palermo and enjoy Palermo by night with a special dinner at a restaurant and overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Thursday - Palermo - Cefalu - Parco dei Nebrodi - Taormina/Giardini Naxos
After breakfast depart for Cefalu and visit the Arab-Norman Cathedral. Enjoy a walk in the streets of the small village and continue to the Park of Nebrodi. Stop at the Miraglia Forest for lunch with a typical menu including home-made pasta. Continue to Cesar, Randazzoand visit Etna park enjoying the scenery from the unusual viewpoint to the north. Indescribable landscapes will appear before your eyes. Arrive in Giardini Naxos, dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Friday - Taormina/Giardini Naxos
After breakfast, full day at leisure in one of the famous Mediterranean resorts. Enjoy this free day by walking in the streets of Taormina, a place that has inspired many artists. For those interested, there is the possibility of an optional excursion to Mount Etna (up to 1,800 metres or ascent to 3,000 metres). In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner at a well known restaurant in the centre of Taormina.
Day 8: Saturday - Taormina/Giardini Naxos
After breakfast at hotel, tour ends.
